How to Adjust Exposure in iPhone Camera App

Step #1. Open the Camera app on your iPhone. Step #2. Now frame the object or person you want to capture. Step #3. After that, tap on the part of the frame you want to be visible (remember, you are not supposed to leave Camera app.) You can now see a yellow square in the Camera app; next to the square, check that slider with a brightness adjusting icon (which looks like a Sun). The yellow square disappears if you fail to take any action quickly. However, you can lock that frame by using a long press and not a tap. When you long-press the frame, the yellow box grows in size and blinks twice. Next, you can see AE/AF LOCK (Auto Exposure/Auto Focus) at the upper part of your phone screen. Now you can change the frame without having to worry about focus and exposure settings on the Camera. When you tap somewhere else on the screen, the lock releases itself. Step #4. Here, you can adjust the brightness or darkness of the camera frame. Pull the slider up or down to decrease or increase exposure in the iPhone camera. Step #5. When you reach the right exposure, tap the shutter button to click the photo. Alternatively, you can also press the volume button to take pictures. That’s all, friends! Signing off There are many manual camera apps for iPhone for more control. However, once you get hold of the default camera features, you can go ahead with a more sophisticated use of the iPhone Camera app. Do you use any third-party camera app on your iOS device?
