How to Use Periscope on Your iPhone and iPad

Get Started with Periscope Step #1. First off, download Periscope on your iOS device from the App Store. Step #2. Launch the app; you will get the four-page guide which you can view or skip. (If you view the guide, you will see Get Started option at the fourth page. Tap on it. ) Tap on Skip from the top right-hand corner. Step #3. Next, up if you have a Twitter account, sign in. You can also use your iPhone number to sign in. Step #4. Tap on Enable Notifications and confirm it. Step #5. Now, the app would suggest you follow some people. If you don’t want to follow the certain person, just deselect him/her by tapping on the tick mark right next to them. Tap on Done from the right-hand corner to confirm. Step #6. There you are at the global homepage of Periscope! You will see four options at the bottom: TV Icon: It is on the left-hand corner. It inboxes live streams and recent broadcasts from your followers. Globe Icon: By default, the global section is selected, which displays the streams from all over the world. Camera Icon: It is on the right of the globe icon, which allows you to broadcast your stream. You need to enable Camera, Location and Microphone to get started with it. People Icon: It lets you find and search for people you wish to follow.

How to Broadcast Your Stream Using Periscope on iPhone or iPad

All geared up to broadcast your stream? Here you are: Step #1. Tap on the camera icon from the bottom. Step #2. Enable Camera, Microphone, and Location. Step #3. Name your stream. Step #4. Now, you have four options: Precise Location Sharing: (Kind of arrow icon beginning from left). If you want to share your precise location, tap on it to turn it on. Private Sharing: If you want to share your stream only with a selected persons or companies, tap on the lock icon. Everybody Can Chat: (Person icon) By default, everyone can chat. Tap on it, if you want only the users, you follow to chat. Announce your live stream via Twitter: Tap on the Twitter icon to announce your live stream through the micro-blogging app. Step #5. Up next, tap on Start Broadcast and let the world know your great feelings or anything you like. Step #6. By default, the rear camera is used. However, you can switch to the front-facing camera by double tapping on the screen. You will see viewers who have joined your broadcasts (if public) and also get to see hearts and messages of people. Tap and hold the screen to view more options like Sketch, Hide Chat, and Flip Camera. Step #7. Once you are done, slide down from the top and tap on Stop Broadcast. The video will automatically upload. That’s all there is to it! If you ever wish to check out your stream, just tap on the TV icon from the bottom and go through it.
