Solution 1: Get the right port driver 

The possible reason why you meet with the issue could be that the computer has 3.0 ports while Windows 7 does not have a driver for USB 3.0 port. It can cause installation failure and make it impossible to use a mouse or keyboards.  

Cancel the installation and press Windows Key+R at the same time. Type “devmgmt.msc” and click ENTER to go to “device manager” on the computer. Expand the category at “Universal Serial Bus Controller” to see the USB driver you have right now. Solution 2: Try a different port
